His journey led him to represent Israel in Skeleton at the 2026 Winter Olympics, where he also served as Israel’s flagbearer in the Opening Ceremonies, proudly representing the Jewish people.

ABOUT JARED FIRESTON

Jared Firestone is an American‑born Israeli skeleton racer and attorney who competes for Israel on the international stage. Born in Miami in 1990, he was a track athlete in college before discovering the high‑speed sport of skeleton while recovering from a stroke during law school. He became the first Israeli to win a gold medal in an Olympic‑discipline sliding sport and the first Israeli to reach the finals at the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation World Championships. Firestone represented Israel in skeleton at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan‑Cortina and had the honor of serving as one of his nation’s flagbearers at the Opening Ceremony.
