Of all the questions surrounding the many crimes against the Jewish people throughout history, one stands out: Why the Jews?
Join us for a two-part multimedia presentation that explores the long and complex history of antisemitism—from ancient prejudices to modern challenges—led by Mr. Brendan Murphy, award-winning educator at Marist School.
Brendan Murphy is a history teacher and the founding director of the Bearing Witness Institute for Interreligious and Ecumenical Dialogue at Marist School. He is recognized nationally for his work on Holocaust education and fostering interreligious dialogue, receiving honors such as the Outstanding Educator Award from the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect (2019) and the Abe Goldstein Human Relations Award from the Anti-Defamation League (2017).
Through this lecture series, you will gain a deeper understanding of the historical forces that have targeted Jewish communities, the resilience that has endured, and the lessons these stories hold for today. Brendan Murphy’s presentations are celebrated for sparking meaningful conversations about faith, history, and moral responsibility.
Experience this opportunity to explore history, gain insight, and reflect alongside one of the nation’s most respected Holocaust educators.
